Long march at every cost: Dr Qadri

LAHORE:-Minhajul Quran chief professor Tahirul Qadri has said that nobody should have confusion in this regard. If the rulers are not entitled to provide security and shelter to the masses, they have no right to rule over the people.

While addressing a press conference at his residence at Model Town Lahore, Sheikhul Islam said that Quetta and Swat blasts are a further phase of terrorism.

“Wrong policies of the government caused corruption and terrorism”, said Qadri.

He made it clear that the rulers who proved failure to halt terrorism are either ineligible or aids of terrorists.

He said that the Punjab government is using cheap tactics in order to put stumbling blocks in the way of long march to be held on January 14.

“The media as well as the wretched of the earth and majority of poor people will stand by me in struggle of restoration for peace and eradication of corruption from the country.

Without naming the minister for interior, Sheikhul Islam said that government is disfiguring the facts of in the name of politics labeling false allegation against the sincere workers of Minhaj.

He said that autonomy of the judiciary was restored by dint of untiring struggle of the lawyers, media persons and political parties.

“Three writ petitions were filed in the courts against the long march but all of them were dismissed. The judiciary has put no check on the long march; so any step to discourage it is equal to contempt of the judiciary”, concluded Sheikhul Islam.

The Punjab government is promoting terrorism in the name of law and order.

He said that nothing can be said about the route to be taken for long march. If any mishap occurs during the long march, the Punjab government particularly Nawaz Sharif and his brother Shahbaz Sharif would be held responsible for it.

Commenting on MQM, he said that he has been informed about the MQM’s decision of withdrawal from the long march, adding that it is their democratic right to do so.
