The long march is underway and Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has termed it as the ‘democracy march’.

“It is a march for democracy, it is a march against looters and plunders ruling in Islamabad and Lahore, it is a march against the evil forces, it is a march against those exploiting poor people, it is a march against the oppressors, the corrupts and the persecutors of the weak and poor would Insha Allah be wiped out forever,” said Dr Qadri prior to departing for the march. Furthermore he said, “It is a march to topple Yazeedi Empire, I declare the march as a democracy march, it is a march for the people sobbing in Quetta with over hundred bodies.” He demanded of the federal government to dissolve the Baluchistan government for its failure to protect lives of people.

Dr Qadri said that Punjab government harassed the public and seized vehicles hired for the march. Moreover, security vehicles were also snatched by the provincial government and all the cities were blocked.

Prior to this, Shaykh-ul-Islam said the government in an effort to stop the march had placed tankers filed with acid in the federal capital and had dug ditches filled with explosives. This is the worst conspiracies of the government to stop march.
